took the starter out last week and retightend the bolts with locktight. when i put the fully charged battery in the sled it started perfect, even stoped and started it a couple times to make sure the starter was working. but after going for a long ride yesterday i went out to start the sled this...
my battery wasnt getting a full charge so i replaced it with a new one and still the same problem. just enough juice to turn over the moter but not enough to start it, any suggestions?

followed the instructions and had the starter fixed and sled put back together, with a bonus oil change, in about three hours thanks for the help.
my starter makes a whining noise but wont turn over the engine. i just replaced the battery and still the same thing. according to the service manual you pretty much got to take the motor out to get at it which sucks #*$&@
i have ridden both types of sleds and the IQR is deffinatly a much better dictch banger than the phazer not evan comparable. im a bit older now and not into the real aggresive ridding with big hits anymore so i toned it down just a bit with the phazer which is an awsome sled but if i was going...
i can hear the machine priming. its about -25 . would i hear the clicking if the relay was frozen? yamahas how do you find the ulmer clutch kit? hard to tune?
i turn my key and get nothing, keep trying and after six or seven times i hear a cliclking sound as i turn the key, and about another ten times after that it will start. help needed!
i always had this problem. it was caused by the button on the meter not grounding properly. i disconected the button on the meter and installed my own in the blank port to the left of the riser block with a good ground and havent had a problem after
