Nope! Just bring it out and ride. I live in the Hills and mine is right from the factory. Spearfish canyon lodge has a trailhead there and a great trail ride through the canyon. As you work towards trailhead lodge, keep an out for random fire roads where you can go off trail.

Trails in the Black Hills I live in Rapid City and have spent the entire weekend including tomorrow on the trails. Snow on the trails is good, some thin spots on areas with a lot of exposure. So light off trail riding can be done, just have to be careful of stumps. I found some untouched...

Go west, not north in Wy. We stayed in Buffalo, but talked to the owner of Deer Haven Lodge about 45 miles west of Buffalo on highway 16. Seemed like a nice guy, and did say tjhere was lots of snow out that way. Up north on highway 14 west of Sheridan, there is not much snow.

Where are you staying? We stayed in Buffalo Wy. It was about a 45 min drive to the parking spot.

Day two was also excellent! Had a blast. The new Backcountry track worked great, and the torsion spring spaces took almost all the sag out of my XTX! Very impressed with both products.

Day one of riding was awesome. Found areas with 3ft of powder! Day two starts now!

I rode my XTX once and felt it was almost dangerous on the trails because of the darting. I put a set of Simmons Gen 1 skis and now it handles like it's on rails and is a ton of fun!

xtx Never rode a RTX, but after riding the XTX, I would never buy a sled with less than a 136" track. The longer track rides much nicer and is tons of fun in the deep snow/off trail.

The Nytro is eleventybillion times better than your sxr. More power and lots more torque. It will seem a little tippy at first but you'll get used to it. Also you won't smell like 2 stroke exhaust anymore...

Get the 1.75 and tuner skis I bought an 09 XTX last year from Spearfish motors. 1st thing I did is put Simmons skis on, that helped the handling. I wish I had the deeper lug track. The 1.25 is not very good off trail. Can't wait to get my back country track for my nytro!

So I ordered the 1.75" BC track for my 09 XTX, now what exactly do I HAVE to do to make it work. I have read a lot about extro's and changing the gearing, and removing the tunnel protectors. But, is all that necessary or can I just change the track and ride it. I do about 75-80% of my riding...

I am looking for a skid/float plate for my XTX. Anyone have any good or bad experiences with any particular brands? Leaning towards a Skinz Float plate, but I dont really want to spring for a new bumper too.
