We just had one in the shop and it is coming from the lower rad hose.
Just simply tighten the hose clamp and it goes away.
No big deal easy to get at with hood off.

As long as you still have some lip there you will be ok. Just have to keep an eye on the slides alittle bit. Maybe invest in some wheel kit for up front. I think Ulmer sells a kit.

Crazy, i have never heard of shock damage like that. Maybe yours had somthing wrong with them. I would think if it was a common problem yamaha would have done somthing like they did with the viper shocks a few years back.
