What are some ways to lose some pounds on my Nytro XTX. I am with the military and dont make that much cash so I was hoping for cheap ways of dropping some pounds. I have already taken out the foam from the side panels and hood to help with water getting trapped and frozen and removed the sway bar for weight and for off trail performance. What do you guys suggest?

what ever you absolutely do not need get rid of it... Do a search, there are 4 years worth of information (and hours of reading) on lightweight ideas for the nytro .
sell your rear skid, get a different one that weighs less. if you play that right, you could come up with a far superior rear suspension for very little money. LED lights in the rear are cheap and save a little bit of weight, battery's have about the cheapest $/weight ratio, you can make your own exhaust system for pretty cheap which saves a bit of weight.
if you keep an eye out for deals from people on here and other forums you can get stuff at pretty good discounts, out of all the mods that I have done so far the only things that I have bought at retail price is the Ulmer clutch kit, skinz airframe boards, oft steering relocate, roest skidplate and IP vent, and the R.O.V. all of the rest of the of my mods came from waiting patiently for deals to pop up or making them myself.

If you aren't studded, remove the tunnel protectors. That will save you the 40 lbs of ice that form after a short time. Probably the cheapest weight reduction possible. Then exhaust/seat, then radiator would be my order. You've already removed the easy stuff up front, besides a battery, things will get very expensive from there.

Lighten the weight of the rider...I'm in this process myself...lost 25 pounds already...cheap too.
Rear skid ie. ZX2, can save you 20+ pounds.
Lithium battery can save 10+ pounds.
Replace stock muffler with aftermarket one can save over 10 pounds.
Aftermarket seat helps too.

I think the suggestion of removing the tunnel protectors and putting a block off plate it the best thing you can do. It will reduce the riding weight of the sled greatly by cutting the ice build up.
Beyond that there is lots you can do replacing stock parts with aftermarket however $$$ is how to do it.
I think I've added as much weight at I've taken off.

Thanks for all the advice. Reference the losing of my own weight, thanks for the advice but I don't have an issue with that. As stated I am an Infantry soldier in the military so fitness is not a problem for me. Congrats on your success however.

Revster. I see you are from La Salle. That is awesome. I have family out that way.
My Nytro is an unstudded 121". How hard is it to remove the tunnel protectors?

To do it right. Seat, tank and exhaust must be removed. If your a perfectionist the skid also.
