New Ecu flash for Yamaha Viper/Arctic cats 7000 w/POLL

Mine starts much better warm if you turn the key and immediately start it. Don’t let the fuel pump run and then turn the key, just immediately start it whe n it’s warm.

New Ecu flash for Yamaha Viper/Arctic cats 7000 w/POLL

I have a 2015 XF7000 and I’ve done all the flashes, including the most current. I’ve always kept my battery very fresh, terminals cleaned, and I’ve never had any starting issues. The flash I got in 2017 corrected the speedo issue. I would do the latest flash.

Barn of Parts Tunnel Saver & Repair Kit - reinforces or repairs the front skid mount in tunnel

I used a big bolt and washers through the hole to suck the plate in very tight to the tunnel, in the correct position, then drilled and riveted it in place. It’s easy with the skid out. You could do it with the skid in but you would have to remove the forward shaft bolts.

    Few mods to my viper

Travis at barn of parts has a gasket for the oil tank that will fix the leak. He’s a vendor on this site.

Tunnel Storage??? What brand is this?

It looks like someone did a decent fabrication job on that one. Looks custom to me.

Barn of Parts Chain Tension Solution

I love all the BOP products I’ve purchased and I’d definitely order up a better chain tensioner, or measuring system. If Travis sells it, he’s done the R+D and the product works.

PB-80 after a year of testing.

The brass turbo slugs are 50grams. I figure since I’m N/A I should probably go with the lower weight. The brass ones also are not as tight as the steel ones, or that’s what the guy I ordered them from said. I guess the steel ones fit real tight.

PB-80 after a year of testing.

I really like it. I’ve got some brass turbo slugs on the way, and some of the new orange retainers. The flat head slots on those strip easy. It’s a really cool set up. CVTech doesn’t sell the PB80 for the viper anymore, which I think is weird. They need to market their product better, I think it...

PB-80 after a year of testing.

I had no idea that they made those turbo slugs. Thank you for that information. I’m going to buy some of those and try them out. Next season. Because all the snow in my area of VT is gone. This season was way to short. I don’t get to tune nearly as much as I’d like, because it seems like when we...

PB-80 after a year of testing.

I don’t have any data because the lake never really froze over but in 1,000 miles I was happy I went to the PB-80. The only thing I don’t like is if the primary clutch isn’t warm from running the sled for a few minutes and you hammer the throttle I hit the rev limiter. Also, occasionally, if I...

PB-80 after a year of testing.

I’ve got a 2015 XF7000 with a PB-80 primary and a team tied secondary. It’s blows the cat clutches out of the water in every aspect. It’s quieter, cooler, and faster.

    2020 Front end

Gentlemen, I read this whole post and only saw one actual feedback post for a ride review. But it was a first ride / one ride review. How did the conversion work? Was it worth the $$$? Did the guys that did the conversion do rails as well? Or just the front end? I have a 2015, is this upgrade...

2015 Viper start up and idle

I just did the new flash on my XF7000. It cranks longer but starts the first attempt. Before it would take 2-3 attempts to start. It isles smoother now but I did notice it does have a very brief (2-3 seconds) having idle that quickly settles to a much smoother ideal. The altimeter is more...

    XF 7000 clutching question

There is a point of ‘no return’ with the bearings, but hopefully all you need to do is repack them. Between the bearings and rebuilt clutches I think your problem will be solved.

    XF 7000 clutching question

At 6,000 miles your cat clutches may need some rebuild ‘love’ (springs, rollers, bushings, weights). I have used Thunder products in the past, they have all the parts you would need to rebuild your clutches. I have 60 gram cat weights if you’re interested in them. Shipping might take a while but...

    CR10EK Plugs

I ran the CR10EK in my Viper for one season. I did the free air box mod but that’s it, I have no other mods to the engine. I didn’t feel any difference between the CR9 and CR10 plug. The 10’s seem a bit darker in color after a full season. I’m going to run CR9EK this season, if I ever get any...

    cat skis

I have a the XF7000 with the 1.25” ripsaw, 96 gold diggers down the middle and 6” and stock cat skis. I run the 4” staggered carbides from Cat. No darting, great handling, and it’s like I have power steering. Very light steering. They do push a little in the deep powder days. But I run mostly...

    A/C xf7000 Hc 2016 clutching

I’d start at 59 and work from there. If I had to guess I’d say you’ll be good there or possibly need to increase a bit. You want 8800-9200 max rpm. Shouldn’t hit the limiter.
