Pretty sure its all black going by memory.
SORRY FOLKS. Checked my ebay purchases due to Mr. Sled's question and it is NOT a mountain seat. But is black and heated.
I have a Yamaha factory heating pad and a mountain seat still in the shipping packaging that I never got around to putting on my Winder if you're interested in a project and discussing a price.
Couple of weeks ago, I got to visit my mistress for the 1st time since 2021. I was in Maine in 2022 when I picked up my Backcountry and the Winder was holed up in storage with the access door iced in. Didn't even see her. We have been mountain riding out west 21,22,23, and 24 where I rented...
Funny thing is if you look in this thread there are photos inside my tunnel with the 1.6 Ice cobra on my 17 LTX-LE. Dealer installed the track at initial delivery WITH protectors. I put >4000 mies on it. i'd probably run the same or a 1.75. The 1.6 robs a good bit of top speed...

Not that much of leap to see them buy Cat considering the sponsorship.
I believe you because I have ridden tuned and n/a Doos and Poos but i consider my Winder pretty fricken heavy and when you're stuck the weight makes a difference. Jan doesn't seem to get stuck much!
Sure riding is better than keyboarding but if you love sleds Sidewinders and mountain riding check this guy out. https://www.youtube.com/@Janzkak. We started backcountry riding back in 2021 and seeing this guy handle his MTX in those conditions is remarkable to me. Makes me consider a BTX...
Well #*$&@. Haven't been here in ages and come back to read this. Didn't know the guy but loved his sled builds. RIP and condolences to his friends and family. Had a heart attack myself back in May. Scary to think of.
You clarified better some of the points I was trying to make. Especially the smell. Coming from a 97 SX700 my Reima Yamaha coat smelled like 2 stroke until the 2nd Apex (Attak) I bought and it lived in the garage. Now my gear bag has basically no odor from the mountain trips with all 2Ss and...
In back country riding weight is extremely relevant. Too early to make any real claims about durability but the 600 is getting very good reviews in the mountains where it is riding amongst 850s and 850 Turbos with plenty of Poo 9Rs thrown in. If I'm in the market next spring I would order an...
Yes. Thanks to the 998T. Been riding out west for last few years and my Mistress, the Winder, is very lonely holed up in Maine. We have 5 turbo skidoos in the trailer which have been frankly flawless for the years we have had them (riding mountains in Utah and Montana). My Winder shares a...
Any TY members in the video? I would think a Winder MTX would be bad #*$&@ on the chutes. Looked like 2 of 3 Propexs went home on a rope - not engine failure.
