    AEM wideband power source?

Also recommended by Jannity to run an on/off switch to the gauge - this allows the moisture to be burnt off the sensor in the exhaust before you turn it on. Increasing the life of your sensor.

AEM A/F gauge install - problem

Thanks for the suggestions mbarry, Talked to Jannety now too. He says the same as AEM, doesn't matter lengthening or shortening the wires to the sensor - just do a good job of soldering and heat shrinking. Going to move the power and ground to where my stoich sensor was wired in...

AEM A/F gauge install - problem

For what it is worth - I just got off the phone with AEM and they are telling me if the wires are extended or shortened it shouldn't matter. What will matter is the splice job of the wires - if done well, then no problems, if not, then you have issues. Gotta love this stuff.

AEM A/F gauge install - problem

I get no reading at all. It just lights up and the bottom half of the numbers flash on then everything goes out. I got to thinking and it was the light for my boost gauge that was attached to the headlight wires and the power for the stoich was tied in to a line I had going to I believe the...

AEM A/F gauge install - problem

I installed it and attached the power and ground to the same power (yellow - also added 10 amp fuse) and ground (black) coming off the headlight which I used for the stoich gauge previously on the sled. Start it up, the guage lights up with some weird stuff and goes right out. I tried with...

Time for motor rebuild, what would you do

All of the valves will likely need to be re-shimmed (particularly if you run it hard). Most of mine were out of tolerance at 2500 miles. From what I understand, yam figured the same maintenance schedule as a bike. Difference is, these sleds run at much higher rpms for much longer periods of...

AEM TRU-BOOST Gauge-Type Controller? Anyone use one?

I did a search with no luck. This is the the combo electronic boost controller with boost guage that allows you to dial boost up and down by a push of a buttonwherever you mount the gauge. This seems like an excellent idea - a little pricey, but sure would make things easier. Has anyone...

    Sensor Mount question?

Thanks all. Mbaryy, I was under the impression that race fuel shouldn't affect these like it does the stoich? OR maybe 50/50 wouldn't? One reason I went to the wideband is because my stoich would stop working after 10 mins of 50/50 mix use. - and it is less accurate. Bigdog - problem...

    Sensor Mount question?

I am installing an AEM Air/fuel gauge on a Bender 2 rear mount. There was a stoich mounted before the turbo but I have been told to mount the new sensor beyond the turbo. I have seen pictures on here in the past but can not find anything in a search now. Anyone remember what post or have...

Turbo - Bender 2 - falls on its face past 2/3 rds throttle

Thanks Ted - I will check those. Man would it be nice if it was something as simple as the TORS - I know I have never unhooked it - even when it was running well.

Turbo - Bender 2 - falls on its face past 2/3 rds throttle

I installed it two years ago and it ripped right from the beginning - 15lbs - 124 mph (more than gearing was suppose to allow) on GPS and I put 1000 + miles on it until one day when I was out of race fuel/93 mix and stupidly I ran it too hard. Rebuilt with low compression pistons. Put it...

    boggy RX 1 2005

Warranty will not cover it if you have dirty carbs and I'd say there is about a 90% chance that is what it is - small jets in those carbs.
