Hey Guys,
I am shopping for a sled for my wife and was pretty much sold on getting her an 09 MXZ Renegade. However, I just found a heck of a deal on an 07 RTX. My question is how does the Apex steering effort compare to say the Nytro (what I have) or the Vector LTX? She drove my XTX...
I know there is overwhelming praise here for the Back Country. But I may be a guinea pig and try the XC Pro 146". The Doo guys really praise these tracks and I am told they are flying off the shelf.
Since this is a 2.86 I figure I would run an 8 tooth driver.
See any issues with...
Looking at putting a mountain heat exchanger on my XTX. I have found a lot of install discussion but I am curious as to the pluses and minuses of both. Which should I go with?
Also can't find a price on the MTX. What are they running?
Thanks!
It's time for me to buy a track. Just finishing up boosting my Nytro and need to replace my Ripsaw. I am looking for a 60/40 - 40/60 on trail/off trail riding. I am also planning an trips to the Snowies. Was originally looking at a cobra. But I coming across the Back Country, Cross Over...
Wife wants a new sled this year and is deciding between the MXZ and an 10 Vector. She's leaning towards the Vector but my main concern is steering effort. She is not a speed demon so the skis pressure can be light. What do you guys think? She had an 06 Nytro and hated how hard it was to...
Here is a clip of my riding today with my new exhaust from Nate / Heartland Rod and Custom LLC.

Ok I finally have a list of mods I want to do to my XTX to make it mountain worthy. What am I missing??? Suggestions? Thanks!
MPI Stage II Blower $5,495
MPI Cold Air Intake $129
MPI Tunnel Cooler $465
MPI Blowoff Vavle $300
MPI Spring for B/O $10
MPI Fuel Injectors $300...
Looking to extend my XTX to 151 using a Hartman kit.
I want to swap tracks for powder and trail riding. What track should I use for trail riding? I looks like I have to stay with a Ripsaw. Any better options?
What would be involved in stretching my XTX to a 153 or 162? Can it be done with the stock tunnel?
I would like to make it as mountain friendly as I can!
Thanks!
Ok here's what I am thinking. I am debating selling my XTX and grabbing an MTX SE. I am planning on heading west 2 - 3 times a year and want a fully capable sled. So my thought is buying an MTX SE and boosting it and buying a 2nd sled for the trails around WI and the U.P.
The issue that...
Anyone have chance to compare these 2 skis? I have Curves and like them for the most part. But they can get pretty darty at speed and steer like a dump truck less than 30 mph.
I talked to Curve Industries and they provide awesome customer support. Howeve,r they told me that I should buy...
How much oil burn is acceptable before there is cause of concern?
I broke in my engine per motomans recommendation. I changed my oil at 28 miles and currently have 800 miles on it. In 732 miles I have burned .6 qts. Is this normal or acceptable?
Also I am only able to get 99 mph on the...
Hey,
I am looking to take a week trip out to Wyoming and will be taking my XTX. I will be doing a track swap and am open to recommendations on which track would best suit me.
Thanks!
Just got back from a 5 day trip to the U.P. I liked the XTX here in lower WI but after running some powerlines with it and some fairly deep powder now I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!
Can't say enough about this sled! It also had a chance to strut the Yamaha torque by pulling 2 sleds out of the trees...
