Interesting thread for sure and a lot of work to make these parts. The Hi-Tech Mechanical kit has been my choice recently as it adds a second bearing to the brake caliper side and also has a re-inforcing plate similar to the design here. I have to say that I'm not sure the chaincase side has...
THIS!!!
I've tried all the methods and they all failed, including the latest BOP bearing fix. I am usually a fairly high mileage rider so was able to test all of those methods. Most recently I switched to the Ron Ward Solution. It adds the second bearing, a grease bath as well as adds rigidity...
The 19 SRX tends to be the fastest because it has the old style spindles (lower) and was the 1st year for lowered front springs and rear torsions. The front lowering springs were used in subsequent years as well but they stopped using the lower rear torsions in ‘21.
Really any 17 to 18 slide...
Thanks for the insight! Might be buying a TAPP and it’s not much more money up front to get the roller spider vs button, but if you want to upgrade a button seems more expensive. Was just wondering if there were gains to be had with roller (I imagine that’s why you did it).
How do you like the roller spider assembly?
Is it still quiet? I know @KnappAttack mentioned it may be noisier so am curious if there is an advantage having the rollers over the buttons
I had a similar experience to @STAIN . I have a 2019 and had a 2022 for a season. The 22 was setup EXACTLY the same way as my 19, same tune, same track/studs, etc.
The 19 was always faster. I ended up selling the 22 and putting factory EPS on my 19....
I'm not sure we have anyone on the forum who will make a post like RockerDan did with super precise pics and such. I tried to take pics myself but none of them seem to be in focus and I dont have the patience to make them look good and put circles/arrows.
As @earthling pointed out, everything is...
Been there, done that (CK3 Belt drive conversion $2k). Blew a belt in less than 1000 miles and sold the whole kit after. It's not reliable for trail riding....chaincase is the only thing that can handle the abuse.
I don’t think you would gain that much, not 10mph. The Rave 850s are all slower than the comparable renegade 137 850s. It’s gotta be that pps suspension slowing them down.
And in general all 900r are slower and DOO speedos are way off. So I don’t think a 900r in a lynx 137 would be fast. The...
Who will be the 1st to try this track?!

1.3 lugs, with an interesting take on the studs being angled. It’s a 2 ply fully clipped. Hard to get over the MSRP, but looks interesting and hopefully more durable than the...
It would have been $400 cheaper to get the same parts in Yamaha from Partzilla. Interesting when I ordered them from Yamaha myself, they had the Arctic cat part numbers on them.
I think it was just $1000-1100 USD for everything (NO wiring harness) with the Yamaha part #.
I tried for a while, such a small cavity since it’s inside the crankshaft bearing. There is no room for anything really, needle nose pliers don’t fit. And I can’t get behind it either. I will try again but may just use the loctie and put it back together
Ok, I have an issue now, the collar is stuck on the crankshaft! I pulled my Stub shaft assembly off as I was doing maintenance to see how it faired and ring stayed on the crank. I have tried to use some small L- shape precision screw drivers and can’t get it out.
Suggestions!?
Or do I just put...
