i know huh?!?

well i took it for a ride yesterday, without pulling the washers or doing anything to it. i just wanted to see if it would still do it. no squealing, no smoking... no nothing. it seems fine now...

well the one i burned was the one that came from the factory, which has since been demoted to "spare". this new one, the sqealing one, is brand new. the first time i rode it, with the new belt, was sunday. before that, i'd started the machine 2 or 3 times just to keep it running while we didn't...

ok, thanks a lot. so for now, i'll just run it for a little while longer and see if it wears in. if not, i'll remove those washers.

ok. is it the front pully or the back one? forgive me, i'm a rookie when it comes to sleds. also, would it hurt anything if i let it go for a while to see if it wears in? or do you think it might wear it out and break? there doesn't seem to be any rubber on the pullys from the burnt belt. i...

oh... i was reading another thread about belt mileage. there was a post in there about new belts squealing until they "seat" themselves after a while. you don't think that's all it might be? a new belt?

ok.. but how did it get this way? it was fine before with the other belt (before i smoked it).

Well, the first casualty... the right side mirror. I've looked high and low, locally and on about 5 or 6 websites, and can't find one anywhere. Nobody has one in stock, and they're back-ordered until the 3rd week of feb!!! Can anybody help?? :itchy:

Well, we finally got just enough snow to take her out (other than around the yard). Her maiden voyage wasn't very long, about 15 miles or so. But it was enjoyable. The ride was very plush both front and back, and the power is very addicting. I can't wait to get her out on the lake and open er...

i've seen these but i'm not too familiar with them. do they just fasten under the bottom of the skis?

i think that's the same one offered in canada. i can order that dual tube bumper from my dealer, but i don't really need anything that heavy. i did buy a universal hitch, but it doesn't quite fit right. the rear bar is too small in diameter, and the holes in the hitch mounting bracket aren't far...

there isn't any aftermarket kind that just bolt on to the single bar rear bumper? i have one too, and need to be able to tow a sled, but i have no hitch! i just like this guy.... :) :die

i like the look of that box towing. fits real nice, and lockable too.. i'll be also carrying a small fuel container as well on long rides, so i'm gonna get that rear rack. thx again for all the help fellas!!!

thanks for all the replys guys. the lists are almost the same as what i carry with me on my atv when i go riding. common sense stuff, a few tools/parts (plugs and belt) and some just in case stuff. too bad the sled doesn't have a nice little storage box to put it in. i'm looking at the cargo...

do you remember if yours came with a spare belt? mine didn't. also, what might be some good things to carry while taking long rides??
