Well, we finally got just enough snow to take her out (other than around the yard). Her maiden voyage wasn't very long, about 15 miles or so. But it was enjoyable. The ride was very plush both front and back, and the power is very addicting. I can't wait to get her out on the lake and open er up!
I did, however, have one issue. At least I think it may be an issue. When starting out, I can feel some "chatter" or "skipping" from what I'm guessing, is the belt slipping. It feels like it takes a few revolutions and some rpm's to grab. And I can smell some burning rubber. My money's on belt slippage.
Now, if it is slipping, can I adjust the tension? Or should I just swap the belt? It might be a little chewed up... And I haven't consulted my manual yet, but how do you change one out? Thanks fellas! -DT

Sounds to me like yopu may have flat spotted the belt. That is the reason why it feels like its skipping. Every time the flat spots come around between the clutches you feel it. At speed it may not be noticeable but I would swap the belt for a new one and see if the problem disappears.
The first time I rode my Rage I smoked the belt, once you get used to the four stroke power band you won't do it any more.

Never had that problem before, but concur its probably the belt. Change the belt and see if that remedies the problem.
With regards to speed. Under the perfect conditions on the lake I have seen 114 on the dream meter which is pretty close to 100 but more often see 107 probably a little over 90. IMO that is pretty good for a 120 HP 4 stroke turning a 144" tracked touring sled.
Once you find the suspension set ups that you like it's alot of fun to ride.
