you can get torsion springs out of the mountain skid up to 1500 but I would also looks at using the Nytro RTX springs, they go up to 1900 and 2100. All the springs will work you just have to cut about 3" of length off the end of the torsion spring. I recommend the 1900 or even 2100 on soft if...
I purchased the 08 mountain torsion springs, which are 1500 and the regular ones are 1300. They are a little thicker and I had to cut off about 2" off the end of the torsion spring. They fit perfect after shortening them. I figure they will be a little stronger considering I shortened them, but...
I see that they make a heavier set of torsiuon springs for the 08/09 mountain skids. I looked at them and they look a little thicker and very close to the same length. I might have to cut off an 1/2 inch to make sure they do not come close to the track. I is surprizing Yamaha does not have this...
Is there a heavier spring available for the XTX like the mountain skid has for it? The suspension bottoms out if I drive it really agressively. I looked at the parts betwee the mountain skid and the XTX skid and the first couple numbers are different 8HL vs 8HA. Does any one know if the heavy...
I'll have to take a picture tonight, but it is cracked along one of the welded seams at the very bottom of the resevoir. So, I should be able to take off the oil lines, weld the crack and reinstall the oil lines and not have to worry about blowing air to charge the system. From what I understand...
Getting the sled ready for the snow to fly this fall and noticed some oil under the turbo on a 2006 Nytro with a rear mount MCX turbo kit. The crack is along one of the welds that is part of the oil resevoir under the turbo that catches the oil before being returned to the engine. Two questions...
What preload does the Dalton Green spring or Heelclicker Black spring have. If they are around 45 am I going to gain enough RPM or am I missing something else to consider to get the RPM engaggement up to 3500?
I have a yamaha nitro with a MCX rear mount kit. I'm looking for some advice on where to find a heavier primary spring. It has supertip weights at about 70grams with a yamaha green-white-green primary spring (45 preload). The sled starts moving at around 2500rpm, which makes the turbo lag a...
Just wondering at what boost pressure does the 16t turbo in the MCX vector kit(rear mount) lose efficiency. At 1500feet and at 8000feet. I know there is a point when a turbo becomes inefficient and just wondering if someone knows what the boost pressures are at both these altitudes.. Thanks
Looking to add an adjustable boost valve to the back of my sled. Can anybody tell me where a good place in western Canada is to purchase one from??? It is a MCX rear mount setup.....
IS it common for little antifreeze to be pushed out? I have a bottle on the overflow to catch the fluid. If I put the fluid back into the tank it always fills it to the same line tank, so its not using water. By little bit over overflow I mean approximately 1 cup of fluid.
