The first issue I see, that header was made by Cat...just check out the welds. Headers like to break by the flanges, and with the lack of flex joints, it could be cause for concern. I hope they have the header encapsulated like the Nytro, otherwise their going to be putting a lot of heat into...

I have a power commander, with autotune, and I was able to increase my mileage to go as far as the new cats with their 10 gallon tanks. They normally put in over 2 gal. more per tank than I do, with a non turbo 1100. I'm going 112mi hard and 125 moderate, without running out, on the 7.4 gal...

I think bottlerocket has it rite,the people that use the brakes hard are going to have issues with hot brake pad dust ( sintered metal pads). I've seen it on ski-doo's the damage it does.

Steve , I heard AC was going back to the old days putting the brake on the back side of the secondary clutch to help with cooling, because the brake friction temp. is cooler than the belt temp. that AC been running lately. :tg:

I ,MY SELF, have yet to see any advantage to buying a shorty over a xtx. You could throw this ? out there on the nytro side, and see what answers you'll get. IMO, the xtx is a better handling unit than the short nytros. Both my friends that have shorty's wish they would have went with the...

Call Pats in Greenland mi. They have all the info you will need on a push turbo, as they sell a lot of xtx's with them. I was told 215hp on pump gas with stock gas mileage, some even better, and reliability as good as stock. Guy's that have them claim after other turbo sleds, even the new cats...

Here's a tool I made, that uses a cordless drill to run down the clips. It's fast and easy.

Like he said, but clean the threads of all oil and dirt, and water first, with brake cleaner. Also , use a torque wrench32 ft lbs.

I would do a poo skid out of a swithchback. Sc4 is gonna be way soft and can't revalve the shock like the poo. Poo's ride better IMO.

[] The AC 800 is about as bullet proof as a two stroke can get, and most of the other Cat issues are with their 4 strokes. Hmmm...Keep eye on kinking tunnel,ice build up,loosening suspension bolts,jackshaft nut, belts. Sled is light and fast should be fun otherwise

Bad binding clutches, and substandard drivetrain will absorb alot of hp. Seems to be the case this year.

These skids are under sprung and adding a little stiffer spring allows the skid to return to a higher ride height. I have one apex mountain and one stock, rides decent. It's wierd how the same skid in the apex xtx rides much better than the nytros.

The stock subframe bends back real easy. Just add gusset and should be good to go. Make sure the a arms are staight when you start measuring.
