Two weeks ago i discovered that the bolt supporting the axle for the rear shock in the rear suspension had come loose.
I retightened it really good, and rode about 800 kms last week.
Today i took the sled into the workshop, and noticed its loose again.. Almost threaded all the way out.
Anyone had this happen?

Like he said, but clean the threads of all oil and dirt, and water first, with brake cleaner. Also , use a torque wrench32 ft lbs.

Yeah, I did that before i started the thread.
Just kind of scary it came loose all by itself. I have never had that bolt loose.
Might be worth checking..

I did last year. I noticed it after the washer/spacer slid down.

I had the same one come loose with blue loctite on it. I cleaned it with brake cleaner, used red loctite and torqued it a little tighter and it hasn't come loose since.

If you are putting a steel bolt in to aluminum you will need red lock tight. With steel on aluminum it does not set up to needing heat to remove but holds much better.

After I discovered the two inner wheels gone, because of the blown shock, also noticed that bolt was gone! So you're not alone...

I used green loctite, which i believe is even harder than the red one.
I'll keep an eye on that bolt, but it definately should not come loose anymore..

Used Loctite for years on A/C the order of strength is yellow, green, blue, red. There varying degrees of strength in each colour but even red "stud and bearing" retainer can be removed with sharp or quick breaking movement and no heat.
