Has anyone else had there front shocks leak at the clicker reservoir? One of mine is leaking oil. Guess it's time for a rebuild? What needs to be replaced before I have them recharged?
What size tap do I need to tap out the rails for the slider screws? Cannot get them to go back in all the way after changing the sliders. Hopefully they are just full of loctite.

I'm sick of seeing the overheat caution light on my sled. Seems to come on more and more everytime I ride. Is there an aftermarket fan for the phazer radiator? I thought I saw one somewhere that has the same connector. Just have to fabricate some mounts. I'm ok with the fab work to save $100...
Warmth
It definitely has something to do with the sled being warm. Or like I said a relay warming up enough by applying current to it by holding the key on for extended periods. Or could it be that I'm in need of a new battery? What type of relays are used? Anyone have a part number? Dealer...
Yamaha won't help!
Yamaha will play the bad economy card and tell you there is nothing they can do. This is definitely a safety issue and needs to be a recall before someone gets hurt - if they already haven't. I'll be jumpin ship next time my phazer breaks. What happened to safety first?
Never had trouble starting my phazer last year. This year its a different story. Every time I go to start it after it sits overnight or for the week it takes longer and longer to start turning over. I turn the key to on and let the fuel prime up. Click it to start and nothing not even a click. I...
Any chance you recently had an oil change?
Bummer! I'm familiar with the gut wrenching feeling you must have. I almost burned mine to the ground. Per the service manual I removed the weep hole bolt near the exhaust manifold to verify oil pressure after I changed the oil. Well oil got all over...
Any body else have their rear idler wheels just come off while riding? Stop at an intersection yesterday and my buddy riding behind me pulls up and hands me an idler wheel. Some how we got lucky and found all the parts in the snow to put it back together. Tightened things up and it stayed on the...
Excell Motorsports
Give Aaron Excell a call at Excell Motorsports. He's a new yamaha dealer and was very good to me when yamaha corporate turned their back on me. Located on Route 12 in Hubbardsville, NY 13355. Between Sherburne and Waterville.
Going custom
Aaron Excell is going to take care of me - what a great guy at Excell Motorsports! Didn't get any help from yamaha. He's going to weld supports onto my spare pivot arm and beef up my link. Much much much much cheaper than upgrading to the 08 link and arm. He said he hasn't seen one...
Just talked to yamaha
They said a dealer needs to look at it. But they were also quick to site the current economic situation of our country and that I shouldn't expect much out of them. Bummer - switched to yamaha for reliability and because they back their products. Have wrenched on this...
What are my options for fixing a skid mounting hole that has egged out. Suspension destroyed itself last week and the front mounting bolt sheared off and left the hole elongated. I assume this must be fixed since it will just continue to elongate if I don't. See attached pic.
Actually didn't break the link ... Broke everything else
Well the link stayed together this time. However the crossbar is all crack up and twisted on both sides. And one of the front skid bolts snapped off. Yamaha gonna fix this for me? Others have said that the stronger link causes the next...
Just wondering if there is anything different between the GT and FX skid as far as mounting goes. I would like to try and run a GT skid in my FX since I keep breaking the suspension link. Need to know if the tunnel mounting holes are in the same location. If so I think I'm going to bolt on the...
