How did you modify like that?

I am getting ready for the same change. I have my 06 RTX dialed in great and I ride 90 % groomed trails. Hope I am not making a mistake, but I love the Nytro riding position.

How many hours to change the blocks?

How do you like the XTX compared to the Apex on the trail?

I have an 06 Apex and wear earplugs for the drone. I am thinking about switching to the Nytro, but I do a lot of groom trailed riding and I am not sure it would be the right sled for me.

Does the Nytro have the same drone noise as the Apex?

My wrench fixed it, changed the oil and greased the chasis for $425. Took him 7.5 hours. It was the first time he has torn my Apex apart this far. I picked up a used bulkhead from Al's Salvage in VT for $150. So a total of $675. I guess it could have been worse.

Anybody else on how long this should take a skilled mechanic to complete?

Found a used bulkhead for $150 dollars. Took it to my wrench today and nothing else appears damaged. Ordered a Pioneer bushing kit and I was told Yamaha has it listed as 6 hours to change out. Should have it repaired for around $500.

I found a used bulkhead. Can somebody give me a step by step on how to replace the bulkhead? I might try it myself.

I do have insurance with a $500 deductible, but if the job is done for under a grand, I will pay for it out of pocket.

I don't have the tools or the shop so I will have to pay the stealer. I wonder how many billed hours it will take?

How big of a job is it ot replace the front bulkhead on an 06 Apex RTX? I hit a rock in the middle of the trail and my right lower a-frame tore right out of the bulkhead? Cost? I might have to make an insurance claim.

My RTX has been fine since this episode. Could water in the gas cause backfiring upon decel?

I had my donuts replaced at 4100 miles (06 RTX). Last week I was riding in Quebec and on the last day, in the early morning hours (Very cold and coming out of a heated garage) my sled backfired after a couple of long straight stretches when I let off the throttle. It only did this a few times...

I got sick of changing my hyfax every 2000 miles! I changed the four outer wheels to Doo. I will change the two inner wheels over the summer and machine all of the mounts.

I intend on having my holders turned down, but I am leaving to Canada tomorrow so I will have to wait until after this trip.
