When you have down time, like summer, maybe you can pull of the seat and gas tank to check them all. Maybe then a dealer might actually have one or two in stock. Wondering also if the newer donuts are made of different, tougher material to last longer. I also had to grind the spacer of each...
Most guys are using RSI bars, heaters and grips. You can get them at dennis kirk. The stock bars don't come with heaters already and you have to buy everything seperate which costs a ton of cash. Go aftermarket for half.
Suppose to wash the belt with mild soap before using and it reduces the squeal. Also, make sure the washers are out from under the 3 bolts behind the secondary.
Our shop just had a trade in, a 2007 RS Nytro. I have the limiter strap 2nd from the bottom, the fox floats at 70 PSI and the skis aligned right. Test driving it and the inner ski lifts up on every corner. I don't notice it happening on the vector gt we have either. I am sure it's been covered...
We are about to stud up a 2007 Venture lite but have no idea how the tunnel protectors work. Looks like they are just some tall hyfax. I bet someone just forgot to order something extra.
At the dealership here we are putting them on free since Yamaha was paying for them. Also, change your coolant to all Yamacool 60/40 mix and bleed correctly. Yamaha said some units were shipped with wrong coolant mixture.
I've also noticed many sleds with track howl. Not sure why since all have loose tracks. Even tried with tight tracks. The yamaha spoked idler wheel is a great replacement and only $24 but not sure what the number is on it.
The rubber boot that seals the back by the plug in is not sealing correctly. Seen this many times already. Humid air rises and goes right into guage. Silicone or tape up end after thawing out.
Don't think they had the XTX there but he got to ride all the lineup at different times that day. Us guys in the shop are a big part of making the dealership successfull so we should have received a thanks, but oh well. As long as I am paid and the guys are still riding, I'm good. Yeah, been...
You can find a cheaper one from parts unlimited or bell. We used a bell part and it isn't as good as the yamaha one. I'd say just splurge, it just plugs in then.
No, just the grip heaters (non-recall) and idler wheels. Might have been replaced at same time as the wheels. I think the japs put dates differently than us and canada, maybe month year day?
