    Question for you guys

The bowls on the carbs, at least on the mountain edition. They were starving the engine on long, steep climbs and would cut out. I bought my own at a great price and changed them, along with the longer tubes for the main jets to screw into as well.

    Need a quick answer!

Here's a pic of what I did. The pin is small enough, it won't be an issue on the trails (or really anywhere for that matter) It looks bigger then it is. Just make a bolt a little longer then what is there, measure close, and drill the whole for the pin close enough to the wingnut as to not let...

    RX Warrior Jackshaft Bearing

PS- Don't forget to loosen the track as much as you can.Try and remember how many turns you make on each adjustment nut when loosening, just for reference to put back together. Lift enough to get the track off the ground, makes it easier to turn when trying to line up wrenches to get the set...

    Need a quick answer!

I made a quick disconnect for mine.We ride fast on a groomed trail to get to the mountains, about 8 miles. Bottom bolt for the links, made it longer, drilled a hole for a pin and use a wingnut.Takes 2 minutes to stop and disconnect it all for mountain riding.

    RX Warrior Jackshaft Bearing

Ummmmm... not sure if the picture you're painting is correct here. What relation does the jackshaft have with your speedo gear?Speedo is connected to driveshaft end, just below the secondary clutch. If that is hooped and jackshaft bearing is moving, it sounds like a few bearings shot. Can be a...

AFR-adjusting with CPR turbo on Rx1-03

I run an Alpine front mount on my RX1, but similar setup. From what I know, the idle AF is not such as big deal, other then mine runs around 12.8-14 at idle. The midrange again, get it close to 12, but WOT is the most important one.You need to get it around 12. Your setup may have different...

    Whose intalled there own kit?

Another tip is to take pics with a digital camera as you tear it down. Many things are no brainers, but anything as far as motor assembly, linkages, clutch shims etc can be hassle free with a few reference pics as you go along. It only takes a minute for a pic and can save hours of needless...

rx1 carb heat shut off valve?

That's the way I see it and have done in the past.It makes sense in the very cold days to run open when needed, and closed otherwise.

Turbo guys, updated some pics under stolen sleds thread.

Sorry for posting this in the wrong area, but figured any turbo owners would maybe be more keen on identifying these units. They were stolen from Revelstoke last Friday night, early Saturday morning last week-end, truck, trailer and 6 sleds, all custom built one of a kind. Mods, please remove...

rx1 carb heat shut off valve?

So in reality again, this is just another thing to not do? Or, is it ok to shut it off in warmer weather? I am curious if it really makes a difference either way, or with a turbo, one should leave it open as far as fuel and heat issues go, especially in the spring?

    A/F readings

We talked about this before, in my case, loose header bolts. It would make a difference, since with the turbo spinning, you would get a vacuum effect through the crack, or any open source, causing extra fresh air entering the system. It would show a bit leaner, more air being measured off the...

    flooding engine on let off

May have solved a few of my issues as well. I was never sure what the updated float bowls looked like, until I seen a side by side pic. Mine were never done, I only assumed they were and from what I was led to believe. I now have the updated bowls, longer tubes, and re-jetted, so will see what...

need help making a low price fuel pressure gage

Well, first hint would be buy a decent qulaity guage, don't be cheap on that part, or it will be inaccurate, and make the efforts pointless.

87 octane and Torco SC engine goes BOOM...

I assume nothing, as it's not a regular octane booster as others are, it's a race fuel concentrate. It does boost octane to safe levels, and reliable. It also comes in 5 gallon cans as well, cheaper if you want to use it all the time with say 94 octane and get you in the 100 octane mark.

    RX Warrior Fuel?

Thanks lazy one. I was only saying my engine is clean, and for any logical reason, it has worked for me is all. 94 has been ok to run, as far as my sled shows, that was my point is all.
