Has any one had the tank crack and leak oil?
Yesterday about 50 miles into our ride My wife radioed me said her oil lite was on.
I removed the side cover and the oil tank had a crack about an inch long just behind the front lower mounting bolt.

Last year after break in I switched to AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W-140
It really dropped the operating temp in the chain case.

I fog all my angines Including My cars that I store over the winter.

To do the job properly you nyyd a special tool to properly crimp the clips on with out hurting the track.
there are a couple different types they range between $38-$70
and clips are &1-$2.20 each. Iwould also look at the clips that arent missing as they usually also be worn qiute thin.

Well Ive got just over 2200miles on this year and I love the sled.
The adjustabilaty of the olins and mono skid is excellent.The motor has been flawless as expected.
Slide wear is also very good. (Still original slides)
The handeling took some getting used to and some minor adjustments.But...
Ive noticed more vibration in my sled if I run the track loose.
The hyfax always wear pretty quick when first replaced then last a long time. I have 2000mi on my slides and there is still plenty of life left in them.
Also a loose track will cost you top end speed , especially if it is loose...
new slides seem to wear to a certain point (about half way) very quickly. then hardly wear at all. At least thats been my experiance. But I know a lot of guys that change them at about the half way mark.Whitch is when you get the most life out of them.
