8000 miles...outer lugs torn away and track ripped,,yes obvious ice buildup.can not imagine stopping every 10 miles or so to clear ice from tunnel.yes my venture lite was way worse,got rid of it for that reason.you see much improvement with the exhaust turnout?
when I have 110 volt power available [home or generator]one hour with coolant heater and oil tank heater,trickle charger,will start any tempeture.-50.f will start no problem.after engine warm I shut down,heat drive belt with hand held propane torch best I can,carefull of clutches,springs.drive...
agree,getting acess to fuel would be a issue.direct fuel in body would just determine if extra fuel would help extreme cold starts,when power not available.
I question at cold temps {-30,40}if injectors are supplying enough fuel at start.think stans idea of mechanicl fuel primer would help greatly,when electrical power not available.need lots of fuel at those temps to start.maybe remove air breather try spray bottle with fuel directly into throttle...
I think a lot of sleds could use those,my ski doo expedition 900 ace,front end drops into every hole ,gully.as long as you are accelerating or going up hill its ok,going down hill or dropping into a creek it nose dives.rider forward position and weight of 4 stroke does not seem to be working...

hose coming out of water pump,tight area to install but doable,heat will travel into engine not toward s radiater.dealer install location heats rear exchanger,never gets to engine
I had a 2008 with dealer installed coolant heater.oil heater.trickle charger.sled would start on its own down to -22,f..plugged in all night maybe -26,f.coolant heater heated every thing but engine,i moved coolant heater to front of engine to the water pump outlet hose[tight fit but doable] will...
straps were installed backwards from factory?...installed new ones with arch,to the rear.now when suspennsion compresses,they arch towards rear of sled staying clear of track.850 miles later both are like new.

0n my third lx,polaris,have not broke a chain but they are badly streched.no adjustment.usualy,change them at 5 to 6000 miles as they will start to jump teeth.looking at the vk for next sled.
limiter strap broken again,2008 venture lite ,five straps in 1600 miles. any solutions? straps seem to rotate on bottom cross bar when susspension comppressed,rubbing on track cogs?
