Usually means your front shock is busted...

Wow, that's quite a nuisance. If it were me, I'd try a couple of ideas:
- Make the bottom loop bigger to allow the loop to actually spin on the cross shaft.
- Try to find a collar that would slip over the shaft and wrap the strap around the collar, again to allow it to spin freely.

That is strange - I have 3500 Km on mine w/o an issue.
Just some thoughts. Could the strap be setup too loose? If your suspension is compressing that much there may be something else wrong though with the springs or shocks. Do you have the suspension springs set on hard with the adjustment block and do you have the two-up blocks set for two-up riding? Those settings should help some to reduce the suspension compressing so much.
Mine still bottoms out easily with two-up and I'm looking for a solution for that such as the x-click suspension blocks or stiffer springs.

I agree. It sounds like your suspension is either setup to soft in the front or something is messed up causing the strap to be too loose.
straps were installed backwards from factory?...installed new ones with arch,to the rear.now when suspennsion compresses, they arch towards rear of sled staying clear of track.850 miles later both are like new.

Make sure your track isn't running tight, and make sure it is algined.........

That's the ticket! The limiter straps are supposed to bow to the rear of the sled under compression, not the front!
