    Dalton Springs

I feel the dalton springs are too high engagement and shift up fast, I went down to their red/black without much difference in engagement, I like the yamaha ppp spring with 2 glide washers, much lower engagement and smooth, I needed for tight trail riding and breaking trail with lake effect...

How exactly do you measure 1/8" toe out?

I also put a bungy on ski tips to take out any play from worn parts.

    Yama- moto

I'm sure it's mainly for scooters and small bikes, huge market there but I bought a cf-moto atv last year and is nice machine for $5000 less than comparable brand name,KTM already builds out of their plant and they are using their motors in some of their products. Hopefully they will use some...

    Yama- moto

I see yamaha and cf-moto are looking to join together in China, maybe they will build a sled together.

How many miles did you get on your sled this season 2022-2023?

Got about 60 miles, one of the worst years for snow in western NY in the 50+ I've ridden.

    Yamaha clutch weight?tuned sled

I just setup a 2019 xtx, Hurricane 240ss sm tune, stock weights with 5.5 grams in tip, yamaha ppp spring with 2 washers thunder 14.8 rollers on primary, secondary has stock 35/39 helix dalton b/o spring, aftermarket rollers, and xs825 belt. Runs really well, had to pull straps down a hole or it...

    Perplexing results today??

Another thing to check is do your tunes have a default tune that it goes to when you shut off and restart? Mine do and that got me when I was tuning, had default set to 240hp, set weights and tune for 270hp, shut sled off and went to try and wasn't what I expected, got home and it was on 240hp lol

    Perplexing results today??

Did you check your exhaust pipe coming to turbo for leaks, mine was doing the same, ran fine but not making power, I have hurricane tunes, talked to Dave and he had me put thin rubber in pipe next to turbo and reclamp then pressure test, the lower clamp by gas tank was leaking bad, took some...

    hurricane bundle

I have that bundle and would go with the dyta 70 weights, I had to grind 2.5gr off the dyta1 weights to run the 240 tune then just add 2.5 to 3gr back for the 270 tune with the xs825 belt. Should be right about 72-72.5gr on the dalton's for 240 on that belt, I also run the 41/35 helix

Trying to figure out my clutching

I also have a ltx 137, so your 146 may not be quite as wheely happy, different there so you will have to test until you get it where you like it, had mine light in front when stock and loved it, but after tuning had to change for safety but now steers harder than I like

Trying to figure out my clutching

I ground the tip of the weights so I'm at 72gr empty which is right on for my 240 tune then add a slug to run my 270 tune, only a few minutes to change and be on for both tunes, I run mine in the tip due to taking weight off there, lighter will feel more snappy and playful, but will be slower...

Trying to figure out my clutching

I felt the dalton springs in primary upshifted to quick and engaged to high, causing what you describe, I need to break trail in 2-3' of snow to get to main trail and don't want to trench and get stuck, I went to yamaha ppp primary spring with 2 glide washers, nice low engagement and smooth...

Apex XTX vs XC 850 137

Had a 2011 xtx with 180 hurricane kit, friend had well setup 800 polaris, pretty much even to 500' then apex would slowly pull away. Now have 19 sidewinder, when stock he had me for 300' then would pull him in on 850 doo, now I have hurricane sm tunes and he has 850 poo, he had 1 sled for maybe...

    2022 Preorder build dates/delivery dates

Guess it doesn't matter in N.Y. unless you travel, they extended hunting till end of year so trails won't be open anyhow.

    Shock/suspension recommendations for 2012 xtx

I put the hygear pro twisted spring kit on my center shock on my 11 xtx and it worked well, made it much better in the chop, improved on the harsness considerably, I now have that spring on my sidewinder and is working well on that also

    Td 285 vrs 290?

Very easy to get clutching right on bundle with dalton weights, I have hurricane sm ss tunes found about 72gr on 240 tune and add 1 set screw to run 270 tune, takes a couple minutes to do and your on for both, I like my clutching to be on too.
