Because the finish angle of the helix was steeper.Fourload explained it well.. I didn’t know they changed the tip weight on the newer sleds. Makes sense now how some of you are using the original weights with xs belt and be in the rpm range.

Any more boosted setup with stock primary weight that worked good this year?

Ha ha no anyone.
To modify the 2020+ weights the washers are fine on the end with the light rivet? Or does all the 3 rivet need to come off to sort them light to heavy plus washers like done on previous models?

I just setup a 2019 xtx, Hurricane 240ss sm tune, stock weights with 5.5 grams in tip, yamaha ppp spring with 2 washers thunder 14.8 rollers on primary, secondary has stock 35/39 helix dalton b/o spring, aftermarket rollers, and xs825 belt. Runs really well, had to pull straps down a hole or it was way to playful and always pointed at the sky lol. Probably could go to 6gr on tip, haven't had any snow to test much but was reving to 9150 rpm then falling back under 9000 so just a little high but feels really spunky and fun, owner rode it yesterday and stated holyshit, I didn't expect it to be that strong down low lol.
