Took my sled to the stealer about 3 months ago....
Toward the end of the season my sled starting losing to my dads by about 5-8 sleds and i lost 800rpm, usually rev about 10,100. since we are always racing and comparing i knew it wasnt right.
the stealer called me last night after 3 months and as a last resort the were swapping out all electronics one by one with a new rx and making dyno runs, it turns out to be faulty SPARK PLUG CAPS!!!!!
got my rpm's back and gained 6hp, now let it snow i was starting to get worried

03 RX 1 Problem
You have to be very careful with the wires going to the caps. I developed a miss last year and found one plug not firing. End result, the ground wire was broken somewhere in the loom. I wired the bad ground to the ground for the next plug, and it ran fine. All the ground wires go to the same ground. These wires can be easily broken if you don't disconnect them before pulling off the plug caps. Just some information if you have a similar problem

at night you could actually see sparking between my coils and the valve cover, overtime the coils loosen up in the hole and vibrate which wears the contact points on the tip of the plug also, new plugs and silicone around the "rings" at the top of the coils solved the problem, hope this helps
