This is just a quick note for anyone who may be having an idling/running problem with an '03 RX1. My sled wouldn't run at all without the choke on. It really didn't want to run prooperly at all without the choke on. I took it to the dealer for them to look at it. Well I picked it up today and they said that the Carb Heater was bad. They replaced it ($13) as well as cleaned and set the carbs. My guess is that even though the heater was bad, it was probably still a blocked jet issue.

What do you guys think?

try fuel stabilizer next spring cheaper than a trip to dealer lol

the answer is........................ Fitch Fuel Catalyst
u spend more money, time, greif, without one

Sounds like your dealer ripped you off. The carb heaters have nothing to do with how it's running when it's warmed up. Mine isn't even hooked up. Go back and argue with them and tell them you know what they did.

It does run much better now. I know they cleaned the carbs as well, but the service writer is the one that said that the carb heater is what the problem was. I agree that it doesn't seem like that was the main problem. I most likely won't be going back there for service anymore anyway. The place that I am getting my Attak from will most likely be where I go from here on out. They have much more snowmobile knowledge!!

Thanks!
