Just orderd 2 different sets of 0-rings for carbs on the main jets on the RX1-Mtn (don't know if same issue on trails) because they were all bad. I know of at least 3 sleds that have this issue. It took 3 weeks to get them because there were none available. I talked with the Yamaha mechanic and he said they have been having issues with these o-rings on numerous sleds just rotting out. If you don't have any of these laying around you better get some on order before your sled craps out. Once these things go they just dump fuel into the carbs and the sled does not run. Not trying to cause a panic but you better think about it. I am not sure if the 04 or 05 would have this issue, might just be the o-rings that came with the bowl replacement kits.

Just rejetted my carbs on my my 03' Mtn. One of the o-rings was rotted, but the other 3 were good. Had my buddy who works at a shop pick it up for me, they had them in stock. Vickery Motorsports in Colorado.

I'm not a wiz at this stuff but is it possible that it's caused from not fogging your engine or adding fuel conditioner for summer storage? Good point though I guess I'm gonna have to check mine!

I added fuel conditioner every year to my sled and it still happened. I didn't fog the engine but you shouldn't have to.
