Is there a place (other than the dealer) where I can get a rebuild kit. Summer project!. I noticed when I was cleaning my pilots yesterday that the bottom O-ring on the main jet was starting to swell, making the bowl very hard to take off. These are not regular o-rings that you can buy at the hardware store - or are they? They are $5.00/ea on a yamaha site What does a complete kit cost? Where?
Thanks in advance for your help.

take the o rings off and toss them they are not needed unless you are going straight up a mountain at 50 or more degree angle. other then that there is no kit. remove bowls, jets, float, inlet needle, and screen under it, clean everything and reassemble.you can also leave the screens out if you want, as there are filters in the tank.

Considering how dirty those screens get even with in tank filters , I would leave them in. Obviously they are there for a reason. Just give them a good cleaning and put them back in. Just my opinion. The in tank filters may not catch all the crap and the screens are just added assurance.
