Guys my 03 has speedometers burp, seems electrical, while riding the digital jumps all over the place half the time on 0, hoping more than 1 has found common place to start looking, hate to start tearing into harness if there is a common start point, everything else in dash pod works fine, thanks
Check the left drive axle bearing below the secondary. They can fail and cause erratic speed readings as the pickup gets its info from a gear on the axle. The distance between pickup and this gear is maintained by the bearing. The bearing is easy to change but there are 2 torx head set screws holding the bearing to the shaft. Loosen them from inside the tunnel.Guys my 03 has speedometers burp, seems electrical, while riding the digital jumps all over the place half the time on 0, hoping more than 1 has found common place to start looking, hate to start tearing into harness if there is a common start point, everything else in dash pod works fine, thanks

Should have stated, installed new jackshaft bearing before season (175 miles) since, seems like a wire or connection is bad somewhere.

Got it fixed, found wire bad, seems to work smooth on stand.
