03 suspension springs

i think yamaha has three spring rates available for the center track shock and FRA shock; my question is, is there a visual way to identify which set i have; second question,what are the pros & cons of going to heavier springs{ weight = 240 lbs } 03 rx1-er thanks

On my 03 I always ran the fra in the medium position. In the stiffest it was way to stiff. I am 210 and would not need to go with a stronger spring at all, not even close. Did do a revavle on a new shock for the rear though. good luck Honk

honk, thanks for the reply about stiffer springs.can you tell me about the viper shock ? did the original lose its oil ? i have another post obout the the original[ stock ] shocks
