I am putting my 04 Griz carb, exhaust and intake back to stock, does anyone know what the stock needle jet and clip setting is ? I did not mark it down when I put the dyna jet kit in, My exhaust is too loud for hunting and my fellow riders say they need ear plugs when riding behind me.

I got mine all back together in stock form and it runs great , I guess I did not need all that aftermarket stuff after all, the 04 has 3 grooves on the clip I got mine in the middle, now I got all this stuff to sell on maybe on e-bay, I tried the dynatek ign. and it does seem to have a more positive effect when everything else is stock. Although I dont think I will use it.

if you drop a main jet size, that will also make it leaner on the needle...

I checked the carb diagram and the way you explained the needle layout is wrong unless they changed something midstream in production , it goes slide, washer, plastic washer, clip ,washer ,then small spring and retainer cap.Thats the same as the 04 except I got 3 grooves and you got 1. Go to www. yamahaofsi.com for complete exploded views. I hope this helps, I did mine and it seems to run smooth.
