05 Rage, clutch noise or crank??

Just picked up a 05 rage for $1000. Owner claimed it had a engine knock, took it home started right up.
Is this noise crank or clutch? Its definitely coming from left side of engine

Sounds normal to me. I have the same sled. This would be as delivered. Mine sounded just like that before the warranty fix back in '06. There is a kit to quiet the drive clutch. The slider buttons are replaced with what I think is a different material. The 973cc triple is a great motor. Keep clean oil and good gas in it don't abuse it and it will run forever!
