I ran my 05 RX-1 against the new Ski-Doo 4 stroke and we were pretty much even all day long on the hard pack trails and meadows. We both have studs and I have about 35 lbs more on him. So I thought the old 1 ton, did ok.

you should be faster than that doo,my bro's rx1 was faster than the cat turbo the other day on radar,by 6 mph,no joke,and its basically stock except for some clutching,the cat was broken in too,he runs away from apex's too

On the lake you should be waaaaay faster than the skidoo 4 stroke. Those things are total pigs for performance. Maybe windy singletracks the REV might handle better, but on any decent trail you should have no problem keeping up/passing.
The new turbo cats aren't impressing me so far. At first everybody was saying that they need break-in time to "wake up". Now the kitty's woken up, and Yammy's are still ruining their stuff. 140hp+slight mods whoops a 177 hp sled? Gotta love Yamaha design. Yamaha>Suzuki motor any day of the week.
