Re: tpi valves
I'm not sure how much more power it's making, but it is running very strong and it puts a big smile on my face when I hammer it!

Blackjohn, which springs did you find worked best with stock airbox? Red, Green of Silver? What kind of mods have you done to you're airbox and have you been able to notice any gains in power?

Black John, What spring angle are you using on your RX1ER secondary. I have your set up installed, but there is no snow to try it.

Black John, I installed your "Cheap Effective" set up on my 05RX1ER. Prior to that at stock, it never reved over 9200 rpm.
My starting set up was stock weights and rivets, stock jetting, stock air box, OSO primary spring, 14.5mm rollers, Silver secondary at 70 deg and 5/16 lock washers. With this I achieved 9000 RPM.
So I went to 80, 90, and 100 degrees with the secondary. The best I saw was 10,000
I was running in 6" of wet snow in a field about 1800' long.
What would you do from here?? The set up did feel stronger.

would there any reason to add the 5/16" washers to a RX1 equipped with the complete ECP kit?

washers
the washers allow the secoundary to open more and the belt to go lower in the secoundary clutch and higher in the primary.

ok, so the washers are for a 5/16" bolt, not 5/16" thick, correct?

Yep. They go over the studs before you put the helix back on. It just shims out the helix so you use more of it.

cool, thanks, I'll give it a try.

Black John,
Do you shim a Dalton helix?
Why is the silver secondary spring better than the stock pink? Couldn't you just set the pink 1 notch lower?

helx
no i do not shim the dalton helx,s. theres more run for the spring to compress if you use the sillver spring due to the smaller wire diameter of the sillver spring.
