I bought a 06 Apex this past spring with 3995 miles. I have done all new bushings, belt, doughnuts, all new bogie wheels, and new hifax. I just took it out. WOW! So far I love it. We got 6 inches of wet snow last night. I took it down my dirt road and hit 118 mph. I cant wait to get it on the trail. Do you think I will need the big boy spring. I am 185 lbs and 6 foot tall. Thank you, Think snow

apex spring
No you won't need big boy spring...I am 6' 218lbs and I found that when I adjusted it up to it's highest setting it was still a bit soft...I pulled shock out and moved the clip up to it's number 3 position...The difference is incredible...I now have the spring at it's lowest setting and it is still real firm..Should be great when I have the saddle bags filled with two gas cans and a days worth of goodies for two guys..
Now you are asking where is the clip...if you look on the bottom of the shocks spring you will see a silver collar..this collar rests on the c clip... You remove the spring from the shock and slide the collar up,...then you will see the c clip and the three positions to put it in... someone here has a photo of it I am sure..

I just went on a 15 mile ride. I wish there were more snow. I am sure I will not have any trouble beating my buddys in a race as long as it is on a lake and on top end. I think my old 06 Polaris Fusion 900 was quicker from 0 to 70 mph. I gutted the muffler and it sure sound good at 10400 RPM. Thank you all for your help this summer. It made the jobs alot better with all of the advice.

Looks like fun.
I got my 06 apex this spring as well and I'm dying for the trails to open to go riding. I literally got to ride it once before all the snow melted this past Feb.
I like the powder coated front a-arms on your machine. I plan to do mine in white this spring as well.
