Oh, how I love my Apex!

Sounds like you got a good one snowdog. You may add a 1.5 gram washer to the tip of your weights to get the rpm down in the 10800 range. You don't need the mods. A well tuned stocker will run with, or more often than not, outrun one that has been modded. Very hard to improve upon the tuning on the engine for trail usage. Clutching will quicken it up, but don't expect a speed increase. Nothing better for a long day of trail riding than an Apex/Attak.

I'll bet that RX is closer than you think! Just because the revs are higher doesn't mean it will win! The RX uses less gas too! Love um both!

Yeah I don't know. It's hard to judge on the Apex because it really moves but it don't feel like it like on my SRX or the RX. But I have a feeling this sled is faster than both. My SRX has seen 115 on radar gun. Best I ever saw on the RX was 109 on the gun. I did not have a chance to gun the Apex yet...but I think I did get a good one. Like I said...I never saw 124 on anything other than my Viper and I saw 124 on that sled on the dream meter on a very long pull. That sled was pretty modded and was turning 9 grand on ther tach to get it there. It was walking all over well tuned ZR800 Cats at the time. And those were pre diamond drive Cats.

Either way...I love this Apex. It rides like a dream. Can't wait to dial it in.

Any suggestions on suspenson set up's you guys are running? Anyone suck in the limiter and change the transfer? If so...whats working for better handling?

Thanks!

I brought the strap up one hole from stock, put the trans at about 5/8s I run the shock (Electric) at the lowest point, unless I'm runnin hard, then up it go's. I went up to the next size spring from stock, 6.2. I think. along with Pioneers revavle. Running the preload at nothing + 1 thread. Just enough to not loose the spring. Works Great. Up front I have the preload at nothing + 1 thread too. Running woodies duallys with shims. This works real well for me. I may go a little more preload on the mono spring. 1 turn at a time. Same with the transfer, half turn at a time. Dialed in very close now.great runnin sled too!! Oh ,I'm 200lbs .Glad ya like yours!! Honk

Thanks Honk. I'm hoing to mess with it next season, but I just thought I would ask you guys what seems to be working.
What does the re-valve on the rear do?? I have the GT with the olins shock so do you think I need it?

Depends on your riding style, and weight. If you are bottming out alot you will need to go up at least one size spring. Along with that you should get the revavle. Best thing I did for mine. Like night and day diff! Bruce at Pioneer can advise on this issue. He has helped many on this site. The cost was like 110 bucks. spring and revavle.

Well I have the heavier spring from the RX-1 so I think I'll start with that and talk to Bruce in the fall.
Thanks again...
