Didn't even get to ride my apex that I just picked up this summer, but I just wondered if the 06 apex GT rear suspension is great as-is, or are there any minor changes made from one year to the next that I could do to make it better if it needs addressed? Thanks!

How much do you weigh and how hard do you ride?
Heavy aggressive riders need a 5.5 spring and shock revalving..

I weigh about 185 and ride sort of fast, but not really a ditch banger.
You may be ok but your right on the edge of bottoming out the suspension too often. If it is an o6 with any mileage, I would send the shock in for a rebuild and recalibrate. Fairly inexpensive.

If you look in the "frequently asked questions" sticky at the top, there is a procedure for setting rr suspension "ride height". I would for sure do that then try and ride it and check for bottoming.

Unless you like a really plush ride I would revalve. You are right on the edge but better safe than sorry. No time in the winter to get this done. I don't think you'll be sorry you did it. I think it's around $30-$80. relatively cheap in this sport. Call Pioneer they're a site sponsor and many are happy with the results.

I do like a plush ride. I put an M-10 in my '01 SRX, and really like it, but if the Apex can handle bigger bumps at faster speeds, maybe I should revalve a little stiffer, as long as I can still back it off to a soft setting and still be plush if I want. THANKS EVERYONE!
