Picked up a 2006 Attak with only 3500 miles late last season and I did some summer maintenance today. Got the engine oil, chain case oil and oil filter changed today. Yamaha makes a great machine, but someone should really take the engineers who designed the location of the oil filter and chain case drain bolt out back and put them out of their misery.
Already knew this when I bought the sled, but I am going to need the small sliding frame supports on each side replaced along with one of the rails welded where it has cracked.
Going to need a new track this fall. Found a spot where it has almost torn through. I'm surprised it didn't blow out my last ride. What is everyone running? I was looking at the Camoplast Ripsaw II since I mostly ride groomed trails.
I was also thinking about getting the bulkhead saver from one of the TY members. Looks like a good precautionary investment.
Going to send the shocks out to Ian at Monster Performance. He did a great job on my previous sled's shocks.
How can you tell when the A arm bushings are going?
