Hope your all enjoying your summer and saving the trail cash for winter.

I'm going to get into my sled this summer. I'm up there in kms now and looking for any input on high mileage preventative maintenance.
items on my agenda so far
- new track
- brake caliper bearing (again)
-chain case gears and bushing (again)
- re seal oil tank (again)
- slides and tri hub
- normal clutch cleaning and oil filter change
I've been thinking about checking the valve sets also.
Anything else?
thanks guys have a great summer I will take some pics of my findings as I dig in.

I'm at 10,000 miles and i'll be doing the exact things as you.

1. new track
2. new top gear, maybe with different bushing
3. new chain case bearings
4. new brake side bearing with a fix to it
5. welded chain tensioner
6. new stub shaft bearing
7. rebuild my rear shocks & re-calibrate for my skinny (but tight) #*$&@

Obviously do the "tighten up" like Archie Bell and replace anything else on the way.

P.S. Archie Bell & the Drells sang the song "Tighten Up" in 1968

Great. Keep us posted what you find. I’ll be interested to see if the stub shaft bearing is bad? I never thought about it.
What do you mean “welded chain tensioner “?

Loctite "should" work, but i'm not risking it. A small tach weld for peace of mind for me.
I'm only changing the stub shaft bearing cuz i'm taking it apart anyways to apply proper Loctite & i figure with 10,000 miles i might as well just change it.

Alright. She’s all tore down.

some things that where no surprise
-axle ruined again, got it machined and sleeved this time for a better fit
- upper gear in chain case ruined
Found one of the hoses above the track to cooler was leaking. Cheap fix but lots of work.
I checked the valves today. They are all bang on. No adjustement needed
