sled bogs after holding it wot for 10 sec. Have to let off gas and slow down to make bog go away. Stock except for aftermarket silencer, not sure the brand it came with sled, bought it used.
Did this last year too. I thought it was the carbs so we cleaned them but it didn't do the trick. Almost like its starved of fuel? What else should I look at? Is it possible that a more free flowing silencer requires more air and larger jets at wot?

Clean them again... try changing the pilots. If thats still dont fix it, it could be warn clutch parts.

My sled did the same thing this year. Starves for fuel after 10 sec WOT. Here's what I've done so far.
- Cleaned carbs and reset float height
- Inspected float valves
- Removed and inspected pilot and main jets
- New fuel filters
- Inspected vacuum and fuel lines. Fuel lines were good. Vacuum lines were adjusted for less twist/bend going to the carbs.
- Sync carbs
- Remove airbox filter and clean
- Clutches are in perfect condition

Did this fix it?

I won't know until next week unfortunately.
What pilots would i change to?
What clutch parts should inspect that could cause this? The clutch being worn doesn't make sense to me, it's not bogging due to loss of power, it's like it runs out of gas.
Where are the fuel filters, I don't remember seeing these, in the tank?

I'd bet it's the floats in your carbs that are off. Have the carbs sonic cleaned at a shop that does this. Change the pilots, don't try to clean them.
Sounds like I started a chronic "float problem" this year! LOL!
EDIT: the in-tank filters are at the ends of the two pickups inside of your tank

The only real issue I found is with the float height. Two of the floats were set too high. My fuel filters and everything else looked fine. Tank is vented properly too.
Too high as in they cut fuel off before they should? This could cause the bog. I would think if it's the other way the bowl would overflow, I assume you mean high with the carb upside down, so too low when the carb is in it's installed position?

yes, too high with the carb upside down, so they aren't filling all the way.
Ok makes sense I am going to try to set floats and check carbs again tonight.

The spec is 16mm. I had one at 19mm and one at 17-18.

Do you know if floats get out of spec through normal use and age?

I'd guess if one doesn't mess around with the carbs then yes.
