i was wondering what most guys are doin with their cracked oil tank,i see there is an aftermarket one from TS Fabrication,or can you use one from say 08 or newer to replace it with...I can probably weld it but i would rather get a new one...thxs

I have to ask.....why are you looking for 06 info when your avatar and profile both indicate a later model sled?
This is a fairly common, known issue on the 06's. As far as I know the 08 part won't work. Motors are radically different. 08 motor is a bit wider. That's why they had to develop the FX chassis to fit it.

I believe the 08 Vector has a different oil tank, my friends 08 has the round tank that is the same as my Phazer. He bought his brand new in fall of 07 from dealer.

I've taken them to a local weld shop and had them repair and reinforce the cracked area.
