I'm wanting any info you'all might have reguarding the 07' models and the differences ? I hope the vector is going to be injected and the new delta box chassis ? What improvements will they make on the Apex ? Any info or links to info would be great!

Judging by the new 120hp Nytro and the snowcross sled yamaha is releasing both based on the vector platform but with a rider forward adaptation the answer to your question is yes. But the 120hp 973cc triple is still carbureted this year.

injected or carbureted ?

So what does , "I've heard" mean,
I'm not meaning to be rude just want some concrete info , or atleast from a decent sorce i.e magazine article ect., I too have read all sorts of speculation and this is why I'm asking to get something more solid to base my purchase on wether it be in Feb. for an 06' or snow check for an 07'. So you think the 07' will be carbureted for the Vector also ? I was hoping it would come out in the new chassy with fuel injection in 07' ? I expect they'll probly advertise something in Feb. 06' of the 07' line up ?

you basicaly want a apex mountain with a three cylinder instead of a four, the benifits are obvious smaller engine-beter fuel economy and still enough power to spin the massive track. the motor does that already just needs fuel injection and the new chassy. i bought the apex mountain but probably would have went with the vector if it was fuel injected to save some money. of course the machines will cost another $500 for next years model or more and if they did the changes to the vector that we would like to see it definetly will be quite a bit higher priced. need more snow in fairbanks or im going to cantwell!

Basically ...... yeah!

I would personally rather have a Vector if it was in the new chassis and
fuel injected , then boost it later , but if they come out with that in 07' then I'll probly just buy an 06' Apex and not wait till next fall for the 07' models, No snow up north huh, well we haven't had much either but the pass is only 20 minutes away and it's always loaded , we'll be riding until middle of May, so if I wait until Feb. to buy one then I'll still have lots of time. Do you know of anyone up there who has experience with setting up turbo's on yamaha's ?

You just answered your own question there. you won't get any concrete info until mid feb on what there is to be offered. your guess is as good as the next guy that posts in your thread. I too am lookin for info on the 07, and told climbmax he would never see his apex again if he didnt' reply, and he laughed at me. oh well, guess i'll have to wait. lol noob

ok , I suppose I can just wait a bit longer

I've read on some other forum about a sneek peek of the 07'
sleds and or changes, I looked up the info givin and couldn't find the rear views but I had hoped someone here would know. Guess I'll just wait .. thx all

Don't expect much, just improvments on an already sucessful sled would be my guess.

Hi alaskanbowtie We will be up at the skagway summit this weekend with our Apex, if you want to take a spin on it just let me know. :4STroke:
We should have boost on it by february some time.

On www.jimmyblaze.com , He talks about ER, then about yamaha giving him a Super-Charged Vector, 2.5 paddle, 220HP. , to go riding in the mountains. He didn't say if it was a 06 or 07, he said super-charged, why would yamaha have super-charged sleds and Vectors don't have 2.5 tracks, just 2.25. Maybe mountain guys get Super-Charged sleds for 07, just a guess. Is it middle of Feb. yet :itchy:
