07 Apex dies when unplugged from jumper battery

Excellent Grimm - might as well spend a few extra bucks for better CCA's for sure.

I just thought of it now, I should be able to check charge from the jumper cables and a volte meter.

Unless there is something funky with their wiring system, and if the battery has shorted plates etc.

OK just ordered the YTX20h-bs

Optimate 4

Smaller, bagged jumper cables from Amazon....gotta love free next day shipping some times :)

Good choice on the YTX20H-BS. It is the largest battery that will fit properly (6 7/8" wide x 3 7/16" thick x 6 1/8" tall) and it has 310 CCA which is 110 more CCA than the OEM battery. It is also 6 pounds heavier than the OEM battery but for me that is a fair trade off for the 110 additional cold cranking amps.

Also a good choice on the Optimate 4 smart charger. I bought the optional Optimate cig plug adapter and I wired my accessory socket direct to my battery with an inline fuse. Now I can just plug my Optimate 4 into my accessory socket to keep the battery charged.

Thats a nice option - Not that taking the hood off is an issue, but if its on you dont have to worry about it falling off or scuffing.

Im going to look at that as well thanks.
