Hey guys,

I came across a decent 07 Attak GT and want to know if its worth taking it over my 04 Warrior. Sled seems to be in good shape. It was a demo sled and has almost 2100 miles. There are a couple small tears in the seat, one at the back at the tip of the seat and on on the very bottom of the seat where it attaches to the tunnel. The black paint is all so blistered and peeling on the running boards. I was told this was normal with the painted chassis'. Anyway, the asking price is $6500. The Warrior I would be replacing is pretty much flawless. It only has 1800 miles and is as clean as they come. I have always kept it indoors where as the Attak has been sitting outside since March. I am sure the "new" look will come back with some cleaning and a wax but I am sure its not the best for it to sit outside all the time. Anyway, what do you guys think about this sled? Is it that much better then the Warrior? Should I pull the trigger or keep the the Warrior?

Thanks in advance!

Its a good move and worth the price of admission, but the sled you describe sounds like it led a hard life, and I would be cautious. My paint on the tunnel hasn't given me any problems. At the very least, talk him down on price, the send off the rear skid shock for a rebuild/revalve. They are tender. Mine was pooched after 1300 miles.

there are a few sleds at this dealer with painted tunnels. Of the few there are atleast 2 (both Attaks) where the paint is blisterd and peeling. I am wondering if being stored outdoors uncovered is the cause of this. Any idea what the ballpark cost of the rebuild/valve is?

shock

go to pioneerpeformance.net he does a good job and reasonable.check to see if youneed to replace the x-seal.06's had problems but im not shure on the 07's.shane

I had two 04rx-warriors.. there is no comparison to the new iron.. feels 150lbs lighter in corners and in the bumps..

The warrior is a good sled, but the apex/attack is soooo much better expecially with the fuel injection.. the warrior however does get better gas milage..

ditto on shmeg's comments....if they way they are storing the sled is any indication of how the sled was treated as a 'demo', I'd be VERY careful..... the devil you know may be better than the devil you don't... I'd say, keep lookin'!...good luck.

same here, keep looking,if youre gonna lay down cash for a sled,it should be in the condition you want it,dont rush cuz there will be dozens for sale in a month or so

I'm guessing it's the dealer in Jefferson,WI. Sell off your warrior and buy new, That way it's just what you want

Depends how much money you have to burn. Only pay cash (just got laid off, would suck if I had to come up with payment money...or worse, "return to sender").

My motto is to skip a generation of anything. Isn't the Apex (and probably its sibling the Attak) due for a remake next model year? Great sled, though.

Yes, the rumor is for 09 MY a new chassis or update will hit the street. In the meantime, the current chassis for what is was intended for is a great ride. If you have a GT, a Pioneer revalve is 90. or so. I got that for last seasons riding, and earlier this summer got the shock rebuilt with a bigger spring for 200. The shock is a high maint. unit for sure. But Bruce does a good job.

you can keep your 1969 bigblock ss camaro or get the 2007 z06 corvette.
