would anyone know if the fan they are using on the 07 phazer is just made for that sled or is it a common fan used for the atv's or bikes? could the part number be crossed over to see? hate to spend 200.00 at the dealer only to find out i can get one off ebay from a bike or quad, any help would be great thanks todd in wi.

It should be under warranty.Keep trying your dealer or go to a different one.

i just picked my sled up from the dealer yesterday and no the fan isnt common at all...pretty high tech piece of equipment being that its made by panasonic... id say that its a 6" fan with the motor for it being around 4" in diameter and only about 3 inches thick....not even a 1/2 pound add on...id take it to my dealer and just tell them that you want it on, i had a little trouble at first too until i made it clear that i as a customer get what i want i hope this helps... ill add a few pics of it so you know exactly what it looks like to maybe conjure up some more ideas

Mine just got put on also under warrantee.Yeah!Huge job I felt sorry for them since on the standards not only do you get the fan but you get entire wiring harness since plug isnt in stock one. Also was a relay they added behind ECU.If you have four its already there.Anyway last weekend when riding the river before fan with marginal snow the light came on when I stopped in next town downriver. So I did exact same run today and no light.Just fan whirring away
Really starting to have fun now this winter so dont give up.Its worth it to take care of these issues.

todd these guys are right, ask your dealer to contact yamaha, they will probably agree to install under goodwill warranty.
If you have a GT or FX the fan plugs right in. If it's a standard Phazer yes it needs a new wiring harness and relay, not a huge job but definitely takes more time than FX or GT.
Get your dealer to discuss with Yamaha, should be a no charge deal.
