Re: It sounds like a dealer problem . . .
I'll second your statement...if your having a problem and the dealership is not working toward resolution, call Yamaha Service. If you do not document your problem, how can they help you? :ORC

My 07 FX is a joke...
I was para-phrasing. My sled spent 3 weeks in the shop, 3 broken links, 2 no starts below -25. Plus all the B.S. of getting accused of abusing the sled until everyone else started overheating and breaking. Plus I now carry a small hammer to hammer the ice chunks and drool off my tunnel when I ride. If I had buy a 600 SDI, you generally get 6000 miles till they pop. So I would have probably not missed 3 weeks!. Proud owners? A lot of people are proud of a lot of things, it's too bad it clouds their ability to honestly answer a question. BTW my last three sleds were a venture, and 2 Indy 500's. I've ridden but never owned a doo. But I would likely never buy a Yamaha again. As well, Ymaha canada will not update the link on my sled till it breaks and strands me. So no I'm not trolling, but I'm also not BS ing people who are asking for info either.

Read my sig. If brand loyal BS fixed my sled it would be almost cured by some people on this site.

I tend to disagree with that coment about the 600 SDI's. Talked to a few people that were having issues with theirs not starting and blowing up. So please don't tell me they are awesome sleds. Got rid of bothmy Rev's 03 600HO and 04 Trail 500SS for a Nytro and Phazer FX and won't look back.
As for the fan I took my Phazer in for the recall and when I dropped it off I mentioned to my dealer about the fan and overheating. At first he told me that I need to call Yamaha and talk to them about it but there was another person there with a Phazer also. He never experienced the overheating issue but he did mention that he called Yamaha and was told to have the dealer call. When I picked my sled up for the recall work being done he mentioned that there is a fan on its way. Picked it up yesterday free of charge.
