07 phazer gt engine failure

We get guys all the time on here trying to just stir the pot making things up even.I didnt mean to upset you just being sure you werent one of them.It seems to me that the broken plug led to a lean condition which very well could have caused massive detonation and led to your failure including electrode.Looks like your dealer messed up.I am sure it was a fluke and wont happen again.Like I said before hope you get taken care of and sounds like you have a good dealer even though he wont admit fault.But I would still try to get extra warrantee or at least a promise out of him to take care of any future related issues with motor.
 
Trust me you didnt upset me , just want to repair what caused the failure. Just having a hard time with the broken plug causing the lean conditon. I still have y.e.s. coverage until the end of this season.
 
Thats good.Well few years ago my buddy changed plugs on his Banshee.Was interupted
and forgot to tighten one of the plugs.It ran well for a few hrs.Then we dragraced down a firelane and I won very easily.Came back to his quad and the plug was still in hole but very loose.Piston had a dime size hole in it and exhaust side ring land was almost gone from detonation.It happens.Any part of the plug broke would more than likely cause a air leak which makes it go lean and then detonate bad.This is so rare I think you have paid your dues to snowgods for the next decade so just look forward to some awesome riding.
 
Sorry to hear about your engine issues...I haven't had the cold start fix done to my sled (I'm getting too old...-5 Celcius is cold to me now!!) and I figure sometimes (especially where I live) that the less the dealer screws with it the better.

I can't see the pic of the PTO side for some reason...

Well, I just dropped my Phazer off at the dealer to have this update done... I have to say I'm a little nervous but I'm hoping for the best! I wasn't going to let them tear into the motor until I decided what I was going to do about the waranty. Now that I have coverage until 2013, I figured what the heck? Besides, the sled almost stranded me on an overnight trip... It was like -15F and it did NOT want to start!
