If you don't hear the fuel pump cycle on for a few seconds after turning on the key to the first stop (not second stop to crank over), the fuel pump relay may be frozen, typical problem. You can tap it, warm it up with you hand or a hair dryer if you want all the Polaris owners to laugh at you. If this is the problem, buy a new red solid state relay from Yamaha and install it ASAP. No more relay problems and no more laughing Polaris owners as you put on four times the miles they will ever do.

Phazer had issues with fuel pressure regulators, I had to replace one. Check fuel pressure should be near 40 pounds.
