brake/tail light question

I have a 07 fx and i just noticed yesterday that my tail light doesnt work. I looked in the owners manual and it doesnt appear that there is a fuse for this. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Where should I start looking?

It plugs in to a connector on the right side near the top/front of the tank. I'd check that first.

I agree.. check the connections first. check for a broken wire. The harness is routed down the subframe by the seat. Then see if there is power with a test light or voltmeter.

Mine corroded at the brakelight switch on lever.Probably wont affect running light but I just took switch apart and cleaned it put some dielectric grease in there.On the YFZ which uses same taillight was alot of them that one of the wires would break off in the light.If you have power at light plug odds are thats what happened.Will look for guy who fixes them.

Check to see that you have continuity before you go any further..
