You may want to give those clutches a good cleaning and scuff the sheaves up
its on the very short list of thigs to do b4 the first ride. a good soaking of brake clean and a scuffing before the first ride....

Well 70 miles in on the clutch kit and it's the cats azz. Rpms are spot on. Well done Schmidt bros. Installed the leading edge this weekend and hope it snows so I can be amazed by the lack of darting.....lol Feb 2nd can't come soon enuf for the TY ride in Monroe co. Doin my snow dance till then. :letsnow:

Well it was a rough week for the nytro in the UP Last week. Had the LH upper ball joint come loose while going down the trail, One spindle and ball joint replaced. Next day i was running the power lines off trail 3 in twin lakes, hit something and bent my perty red grizz frame. On the way to pats yamaha in greenland to see if i could get a subframe my RH spindle came loose, wtf!!! So i spent half a day puting a used subframe on and 2 new spindles w new bolts, nuts and washers. Gone is the perty red subframe for a 2010 model subframe and stock silver spindles..... LAME. Then the last day of the trip i rolled the sled on its side on a icy road and broke my windshield and bent my handlebars. UP was a cruel heartless bi*** this year and i enjoyed every minute of it. 1500 miles in 5 1/2 days of riding/exploring. FYI, IF you dont care about replacing your spindle and upper balljoint as a pair fill the hole around the bolt with JB Weld. Makes a solid spindle and ball joint mount that cant come loose...

im still walking so it really wasnt that bad i guess.... I got some pics ill have to post up tommorow of the carnage...

well the 2013-14 season will be upon us soon and its time for a few updates to the old dog. Picked up a few odds and ends at the milw sled show. New this year to the nytro will be hygear dual pressure chambers for the front shocks (along with a full rebuild and revalve front and rear), going to powdercoat the rear suspension in a red/black/white color scheme and mountaintech running boards. I was going to sell the old girl but low interest is forcing me to keep it and to keep upgrading it, O DRAT! lol. Starting with the boards this weekend, hated the snow build up on my boards.

I see you have the SDR under tunnel, do you think there is enough room for the MPI tunnel coolers as well?

I have the SDR as well, but haven't got around to mount it yet, and I'm keen to remove the rad.

I don't know. I could take some measurements for you if you want. I think they would fit.

got the old cut out and the new mocked up last night for the left side. gotta figure out if i want them powdercoated or not and the outer edge piece needs a few bends to make it fit with the new boards. I think im gonna slice up the stock support bracket seen in pic 3 to match the holes as well, havent decided on that either. hope to have more done and my shocks back by the weekend.

skid out for powdercoat, picked up some DuPont slides, a couple of wheels and a red snowflap off a viper. looks way cooler than the stock flap.

Those look awesome! That's one thing I'd love to do to my sled. That's the biggest complaint I have about it when I goto the mountains... the snow buildup on the running boards.
