Raced my buddy this weekend on a small pond, about 1000 feet. My Apex is stock except for the plugs. Not really sure if they make a difference, but what the hell. The F7 is ported, Wiscoe piston kit, and V-Force 3 reeds. He has the 1" track and studded, my is the 1 1/4 and studded also. There was about 6" of powder on top of very hard ice. He didn't beat me, but I couldn't pull away from him either. Traction was a problem, but that goes for both of us. Is my Apex a dog, or is this a pretty even race? I do weigh about 80 pounds more than him, and I know the firecats weigh a lot less than the Apex. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks, Eddie

transfer set-up,weight,conditions,quick thumb, studs lots of variables, get it right and you will beat him everytime and pull away.both full of fuel with each rider on machine your about 180+lbs more than him with about 10+-hp!! maybe he will blow-up next time tryin to catch you on a long run! lol

at the radar run a few weeks ago my buddies f7 ran really well in 1000ft,both our sleds were lowered and set up for the ice, traction was not an issue, they both hooked hard, his best was 104 and my best was 105 ,we had a lot of runs that were the same speed, the last time we actually run side by side a few years ago with the same sleds i pulled him hard in the first few hundred ft,never ran them on top but i was way ahead in 1500ft,they work well with a few bolt on parts,,no match for a good apex tho,pic was at radar run

a modded F7 gains about 25 hp and it puts it all to the track. They can be very fast, particularly in short runs.
